This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Vizcogs and is incorporated into our Terms of Use. By using Vizcogs, you agree to comply with this policy.
Permitted Use
Vizcogs is designed to help vinyl collectors visualize and explore their Discogs collections. You may use the Service to:
- View and visualize your own Discogs collection
- Browse public Discogs collections
- Access marketplace statistics and estimated values for personal reference
- Share links to visualizations of your own collection
Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to engage in any of the following activities:
Data Misuse
- Scraping, harvesting, or systematically downloading data from the Service
- Using automated tools (bots, crawlers, scripts) to access the Service
- Attempting to bypass or circumvent Discogs API rate limits
- Reselling, redistributing, or commercially exploiting data obtained through the Service
- Using the Service to build competing products or services
Security Violations
- Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service
- Attempting to breach or circumvent security or authentication measures
- Accessing data not intended for you or logging into accounts you are not authorized to access
- Interfering with service to any user, host, or network
- Forging any TCP/IP packet header or any part of the header information
Abuse & Harassment
- Harassing, abusing, threatening, or intimidating others
- Using the Service to stalk or invade the privacy of others
- Impersonating any person or entity
- Publishing or sharing others' private information without consent
Illegal Activities
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringing on intellectual property rights
- Engaging in fraudulent activities
- Facilitating the sale or distribution of counterfeit goods
System Abuse
- Overloading, flooding, or overwhelming the Service
- Taking actions that impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure
- Introducing malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Attempting to modify, reverse-engineer, or decompile the Service
API Rate Limits
Vizcogs operates within Discogs' API rate limits. Users who attempt to circumvent these limits or use the Service in ways that could cause rate limit violations may have their access suspended.
We reserve the right to throttle or limit your access to maintain service quality for all users.
Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate violations of this AUP. If we determine that a violation has occurred, we may take any action we deem appropriate, including:
- Issuing a warning
- Temporarily suspending access to the Service
- Permanently terminating access to the Service
- Reporting violations to law enforcement authorities
- Pursuing legal action to recover damages
